Haven't Updated In A While...

I haven't updated this journal in a really long time. I feel bad for that and I am forcing myself to write in it once a day, if not on the computer then on an actual journal which I would then put on to this journal when I have time. I have also decided that I will try to be as grammatically correct as possible when writing. This shall be difficult. Now on to the actual journal part of this entry.

Yesterday, I went to Canobie Lake Park with Allison. It was really fun. We went on a bunch of rides in which you stand against a wall and it spins you around so that you feel as if you are being suctioned onto the wall. Her friend Jamie also went and I have to say that this kid has the most amazing voice ever!!! He may look a little nerdy, and act a little nerdy but when he speaks, you feel as if your ears have jumped off of your head and ran away to Vegas with his voice. It's that amazing.

Today, Allison and I went to Blockbuster's with my mom and we rented two movies. These movies are "Sweeney Todd" and "Shutter". "Sweeney Todd" is about a mad barber who slits people's throats and makes pies out of their dead bodies which are then sold to the people of London. "Shutter" is about a newlywed couple who move to Japan and think that they are being attacked by a ghost Japanese girl. "Sweeney Todd" is my all-time favorite movie and "Shutter" comes pretty close to that. I would recommend both of these movies to the world of people who like scary movies. Although "Sweeney Todd" is not very scary, it is interesting to think that it was based off of a true story.

Now I am on a hunt for a list of books about Sweeney Todd, the actual "mad barber" from England. If you happen to decide to randomly buy one for me, I would thank you many times.

I would also like to add that I am having fun making fun of myself for my mistakes while writing this journal entry.

Thank you for your time and attention,
Hannah :)

It's easier to read larger writing... right? I hope so :D.

Today i had a softball game which Meghan was also in. It was really fun and we played well but lost 18-8. We got 2 double plays and a bunch of outs at first, which is my favorite position. I got to play first the whole time. The first time i got up at bat, i hit a double. It was awesome :). The rest of the team did well too but could use some practice :). Andrew came to the game but had to leave early because he went to teen night at the Y.

On Monday we have to get to the game an hour early so we can have pizza which we earned for scoring 150 "Points" during the game. We also get ice cream sometime but i'm not sure when yet. These "Points" are earned from doing different actions on the field. These would be:
      1. Catch an infield fly
      2. Catch an outfield fly
      3. Get a piece of a fast pitch
      4. Throw an out at first
      5. Double play
      6. 3 Up 3 Down
      etc.

So even though we lost, we had an awesome time, we played great, and we became a better team :D

Everyone knows Disney Princess stories, the girl finds the perfect guy, they fall in love and they live happily ever after, right? well reality is much different. In reality, you dont get what you want. I've experienced this recently. i thought i wanted something but then realized i didnt. i got rid of it and someone got hurt. of course i feel bad but i still think i made the right decision. if i didnt end it now, it would never end and thats not what i want.

so this is what my life has become. im the girl who hurts people. theres nothing good about me. i just hurt people. not physically that often, but that doesnt mean it doesnt hurt. People say the worst part about a fire isnt the fire, but watching it happen. The worst part of rape isnt the physical pain, but the pain thats on the inside, that lasts forever.

im sorry

VA-Day 3

Today we went to Historic Williamsburg Virginia.  We arrived at the visitor’s center and bought our tickets. Then we loaded onto a bus to be dropped off in the town. There were many people in costumes which were rented and there were many people who worked there who were dressed up in costumes and portraying characters from that time. First, we went into the courthouse and Jonathan volunteered to be in the act. The acts were about how a courthouse worked in the 18th century. Then we went walking all over the town. There were many shops and taverns that were open for business. There were also tours through some taverns. We had lunch at one of the taverns. The food was delicious. After eating lunch, we went to the Capitol Building and the Palace. The capitol building was very large and a guided tour. The tour brought us through every room in the building. In the last room we went to, there was a very large chair that looked extremely comfortable. We soon learned that only one man is allowed to sit in that chair every year.

VA- Day 2

I got a little lazy so I forgot to post for two days. Let's start with what I did on my second day in Virginia. First of all, we visited the Jamestown Settlement again. We had received free return passes because it had rained the day before. While at the Jamestown Settlement, we took a tour of the Powhatan Indian (Native American) village and the Jamestown fort. There were many differences between the two. One difference is that the Powhatan Indians (Native Americans) lived in yehakins which are similar to tents but are made with tree saplings and reed walls and ceilings. These yehakins had fires in the centers to dry out the reed walls. The Jamestown fort had houses similar to how they are built today. They had wooden floors and walls. Only one house in the whole town had glass windows, and that was the governor’s. There were strict laws that even included punishment if you missed church which you had to go to daily and twice on Sundays. If this law existed today, I would be dead by now. After visiting Jamestown, we went to the Yorktown Victory Center.

At the Yorktown Victory Center, we did many things. Firstly, we went through a museum which had many weapons and maps about the war. Then, we watched a video about the revolutionary war. After that, we went outside and walked around the _____. At the ______ we learned about life at war. There were many places where people told us about different things. There was a medical tent where a bunch of tools were set up and they told us what they were used for. There was one tool I found quite interesting but I forget what it is called. It looks like a drill that you would use to put a hole in something and it was used to drill into the skull to relieve pressure from the skull on the brain. It looks like it hurt but I was surprised that there was an 80% success rate with that tool. There was also a tool that looked like a really skinny wine cork puller and it was used to pull musket balls out of people. Also, there was an area where you learned about how a musket is fired. There was a man who was shooting a musket as a demonstration. He misfired twice in a row. I found this funny because his facial expression was hilarious. We had a lot of fun at the Victory Center.

Day 1: Virginia

Today was a very long day. First of all, I woke up at about 5:45. I had to get ready so we could catch the 6:30 bus to the Logan Airport. Then, I had to help my grandparents get their stuff and ours into the car. Alex, my older brother would be dropping us off at the Logan Express. Jonathan, my younger brother was busy getting all his stuff together so we could leave on time when I was getting dressed. After we were all ready, we put the luggage in the car, said our goodbyes and left en route to the Logan Express.
When we arrived at the Logan Express, my grandma gave the man our tickets and we boarded the bus as our luggage was stowed down below. Jonathan and my grandfather, who we call Popo, were sitting next to each other on the side of the bus opposite of my grandma and me. The seats in the bus were very comfortable and the fabrics matched the carpet on the floor.
We reached the Logan Airport at about 7:15 and we collected our luggage. After we collected our luggage, we brought it inside to the check in center which was automated. My grandma checked us in and then we got our bags weighed. The luggage that contained our clothes could be no more than 50 pounds, mine was 45.5 pounds. After we got our luggage weighed, it went on a conveyor belt to be put into the storage area of the plane.
After getting our luggage checked, we went through security. There were no problems with me when I went through, but when Jonathan put his carry-on through, they made him bring it back so that his stuff could be stowed under the plane. They made us take our shoes and jackets off too. The floor was ice cold against my bare feet. When we put our shoes and jackets back on, we went to get some breakfast.
For breakfast, we ate Wendy’s. It wasn’t very fun because they didn’t have everything on the menu, not even coffee, and Michelle, the man who attempted to “serve” us, didn’t speak any English. I ended up getting a breakfast sandwich and iced tea. The sandwich tasted like tar and the tea was bitter.
Finally, after eating breakfast, we boarded the plane. We sat in the same seats on the plane as we did on the bus. It was a very small plane, every time someone stood up, they would bonk their head. It was funny. The flight came with a snack and a drink. I got a Sprite Zero and a granola bar. The flight also came with many clouds but also beautiful views. There was a lot of turbulence when the plane was over water. It felt cool when the plane shook. When we landed, I could feel the wheels of the plane hit the runway.
After we landed, there were many things we did. First of all, we collected our luggage. Then, we got our rental car. Finally, we drove to Jamestown; in the rain. When we landed, it was raining and now at 11:00 PM, the rain still hasn’t stopped. We got a little confused with the GPS as we went to Jamestown but we got there all in one piece.
At Jamestown, we watched a video and went through a museum. The video was about how settlers came to Virginia and tried to settle but the Native Americans got in the way. There was a lot more information in the movie that you can ask me about later. There was also a museum that was full of artifacts from the early 1600’s in Africa, America, and England. Some of the museum was outside and we didn’t get to see much of it because it was raining and they sent us away. We have passes to go back soon though. When we left the Settlement, we went to the hotel which is in Williamsburg, VA. It is a nice hotel with a pullout couch that is really comfy and free wireless internet for me.
I will write more in this journal tomorrow. Byez.
